Emma Farley
Youth Leader STOMP Out Bullying™

Emma Farley is an engaging, compassionate, and creative high school student who knows how to collaborate and how to lead. She has been a Youth Leader for STOMP Out Bullying since 2019.

Emma is currently in her junior year at a high school in Westchester County, New York. After graduating as valedictorian of her middle school class, she continues to be a high honor roll student in high school. She excels in the school’s prestigious PAVE (Performing and Visual Arts Education) program, is a member of the National Art Honor Society, and runs on the cross country and track teams.

Her anti-bullying advocacy has been an impactful part of her middle and high school experience. She spoke to students at the Albert Leonard Middle school on World Day of bullying Prevention and has discussed ways to create a safe and positive school environment at the city’s Board of Education meetings. She also was featured on NBC’s TODAY show, talking about anti-bullying initiatives and the importance of encouraging students not to judge others. Emma impressed STOMP Out Bullying donors by speaking at their 13th and 15 Annual Galas..

Emma often expresses her advocacy for mutual understanding and comradery through her art. She recently taught a Spring Break art camp for 8-10 year olds via Zoom where students were asked to paint or draw the world they saw around them. She enjoys working on projects at the art clubs at her school, including making cards and designs for non-profit organizations, such as the “Gallery of HeARTWorks” campaign supporting local, small businesses during the pandemic.

She has received many accolades for her art work. Her colored pencil drawing “We’ll Get Through This Together”, a timely image of health-care workers embracing during the coronavirus pandemic, was included in the 2021 National Art Honor Society’s Juried Exhibition. Another drawing received an honorable mention in the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.

Helping others is important to Emma. She serves food to the needy at the community kitchen at New York Covenant Church in New Rochelle and has participated in events hosted by Kids Kloset, a non-profit organization that donates children’s clothing to local residents. She also has run 5K races to raise funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness and provide research funding for brain aneurysms.

In her free time, Emma enjoys drawing, reading, and watching movies. She is thrilled to be a Youth Leader for STOMP Out Bullying during this unprecedented and challenging time for students across the country and around the world.
