Mallika Pajjuri
Youth Leader STOMP Out Bullying™

Mallika Pajjuri is currently a Freshman attending high school in Dublin, California. Since she was a toddler, she yearned to become a multifaceted young adult. She also vowed to herself that, no matter what circumstance, she would constantly uphold integral values such as selflessness, congeniality, and kindness. Whenever students were bullied or teased, she would assure the victims that they had nothing to worry about since they were beautiful and amazing. When she moved to Dublin she became a victim of bullying when she was teased and tormented for being hirsute and obese. People that she befriended called her names like “gorilla” behind her back. It became increasingly difficult, but not impossible, for her to live by the same morals. She suppressed her tormentors by spreading her kindness and love through confrontations. Her amiable disposition helped her deal with the adversity, and, in later years, helped other students deal with their own troubles.

A wellrounded individual, Mallika partakes in several athletic, academic, and cultural activities. She was promoted from middle school with a 4.0 GPA and an “Excellence in Science” award. She competed in the county science fair for the past three years, and her projects were acknowledged as placing in the top 10 percent in the U.S. She is fluent in her mother tongue, Telugu, and is currently learning how to speak Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Since she has a passion for embracing her culture, she became a competitive Bollywood dancer and Carnatic vocalist in elementary school. Even though ended those activities in middle school, she still enjoys practicing them in her free time. She also plays the flute/piccolo in her school’s concert band, the alto sax in her school’s jazz band, and the violin for her own personal enjoyment. In addition to those activities, she plays club volleyball and tennis. In the 8th grade, she was the president of a club called CJSF, or the California Junior Scholarship Federation club. Every month, she would speak to the 350 active members about fundraisers, events, and other volunteer opportunities run by the club. The club raised funds for various organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and the TriValley Haven.

In the future, she would like to attend medical school at Harvard or Stanford, and subsequently after completing college, she would like to become a neurosurgeon. She has dedicated her entire life to giving back to the community, and she hopes that her time as a Youth Ambassador with STOMP Out Bullying will be a fruitful one.
