Fall 2018 NY Jets and STOMP Out Bullying

The Jets, STOMP Out Bullying and Municipal Credit Union hosted the fourth annual Anti-Bullying Awareness Day on October 21, 2018, at MetLife Stadium when the Jets took on the Minnesota Vikings. This annual event is designed to tackle bullying by increasing awareness of all forms of bullying, promoting STOMP Out Bullying’s mission of reducing and preventing bullying and, most importantly, providing resources to those who need assistance. 

Anti-Bullying Awareness Day featured the Jets 50/50 Raffle presented by Florida Tech benefitting STOMP Out Bullying. At the beginning of the fourth quarter Municipal Credit Union presented the proceeds from the raffle in an on-field presentation to STOMP Out Bullying Founder & CEO Ross Ellis. . In addition, three 2018 Jets Upstanders of the Week from Hanover Park High School, Woodmont Elementary School and Charter School of Excellence, served as honorary captains for the coin toss. Finally, the team hosted over 2,000 students, families and teachers from schools that participated in the Jets Tackle Bullying/STOMP Out Bullying Symposium as well as the Jets Upstander of the Week and School Recognition programs.

Through the Jets’ collaboration with STOMP Out Bullying, along with support from Municipal Credit Union, the Jets have provided co-branded educator prevention toolkits to over 1,250 schools in the tri-state area at no cost, conducted their annual Jets Tackle Bullying / STOMP Out Bullying Symposium, created awareness through a robust PSA campaign and annually host anti-bullying awareness day at MetLife Stadium on game day. Through this important campaign, the Jets, STOMP Out Bullying and Municipal Credit Union hope to raise awareness about the devastating impact of bullying, and empower educators and teens alike with educational resources to help put an end to bullying. The Jets co-branded STOMP Out Bullying Educators’ Prevention Toolkits enables educators to create meaningful dialogue, educate students through proven Social Emotional Learning methods, adopt character building in schools and involve both students and faculty in working together to change school climate.
