On the first Monday of every October, STOMP Out Bullying is known for its World Day of Bullying Prevention™ campaign.
On October 2, 2017 many buildings in the U.S. and Canada were committed to lighting blue in honor of our 10th World Day of Bullying Prevention.
However it was also one of the worst days in the U.S. as the Las Vegas shootings took place on that very same day. Therefore we made the decision to stay silent and ask the buildings to go black out of respect for those in Las Vegas.
Many of the buildings who had planned to light blue on October 2nd, rescheduled the lightings for STOMP Out Bullying's 12th Anniversary on October 23rd!
We reach out to them in gratitude!
