NY Jets First Anti-Bullying Awareness Day

The Jets and STOMP Out Bullying hosted the first Anti-bullying Awareness Day on September 27, 2015 at MetLife Stadium when the Jets took on the Philadelphia Eagles. This event was designed to tackle bullying by increasing awareness of all forms of bullying, promoting STOMP Out Bullying’s mission of reducing and preventing bullying, and, most important, providing resources to those who need help.

Anti-bullying Awareness Day included a $50,000 check presentation to STOMP Out Bullying for the NY Jets sponsorship of 1,000 free Jets-branded STOMP Out Bullying Educator’s Prevention Toolkits for tri-state area schools.

In addition, on videoboards throughout the stadium, the NY Jets public service announcement (see below) featuring Jets wide receiver Eric Decker which debuted on September 3rd were shown.

Fans were and are encouraged to go to www.stompoutbullying.org for help if they are or know someone who is a victim of bullying.

Finally, the NY Jets hosted 100 students, teachers and staff from the Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, NY, to honor their commitment to anti-bullying at their school.
