STOMP Out Bullying™ knows that NO MATTER™ who you are, what you look like, your sexual orientation, your gender, your race, or your beliefs ... we are ALL the same, we are ALL people. That is why we are so excited to be partnering with Freak Show the movie, a great film about finding yourself and staying true to who you are deep down. This optimistic story about personal identity and fighting back against bullies - not with violence, but with pride and courage. Freak Show follows the story of teenager Billy Bloom who, despite attending an ultra conservative high school, makes the decision to run for homecoming queen. Alex Lawther stars as a young, gay high school student named Billy Bloom who dresses up lavishly every day despite the resulting social exclusion, eventually making a few friends who help him to navigate the treacherous world of high school. He even decides to run for Homecoming Queen. The film isn't so much about homosexuality as it is about being totally yourself, and finding a way to survive even if you don't fit in with everyone else.

Directed by Trudie Styler, featuring a talented cast including Bette Midler, Abigail Breslin, AnnaSophia Robb and Laverne Cox, and based on the book by James St. James, the film is a reminder that no matter how you feel, always stay true to yourself, always be yourself. Never let anyone tell you different or make you change. No matter who you are or how you look - Be loud and proud. Hatred and prejudice are contagious. By standing up for others and creating a tradition of acceptance, inclusion and tolerance, we become upstanders. By living in a judgement free world, we can pave the way for harmony & civility.
